Festival of the Dead

The Festival of the Dead is a grand event among the Sarquil. During the festival the bodies of all Sarquil warriors who have died in battle are gathered in a huge pyre. According to Sarquil beliefs this ritual burning allows the dead to enter afterlife where other proud warriors are waiting for them. While the ritual is taking place, the Sarquil drink heavily because they see the event as a cause for celebration: their friends and loved ones have finally found peace in the world beyond. A festival of such scale has recently taken place in Vanna after the first phase of the Battle of Vanna.
