As you may or may not know, in the second chapter, when I started, Nesa and Ronove traveled for months from Aison to Remon. This is the tale of their adventures. Enjoy. :)
------- The adventures of Nesa and Ronove - Part 1: Dark Ocean ------------
"It's dark.", a voice boomed over the waves of the dark ocean. Clouds rolled overhead, blocking out all light but the moon.
"..."
"It's still dark.", the voice now whined. A few birds flew overhead, towards the opposite direction. An exasperated man, sitting in the boat, thought they must've been heading for land. He tried to make sense of everything that had happened to him, but he kept being interrupted.
"I don't like the dark."
"For the love of Cardia, do you ever stop talking?", Nesa shouted at the scarred man.
"I can't remember.", Ronove said as he scratched his behind, "...I can't see anything."
"FINE, HERE!", a screaming voice echoed over the vast ocean as a small strand of light appeared in the boat. It illuminated the endless waves in every direction. Nesa had just steered in the general direction of Remon. He wouldn't be able to more appropriately set course until the clouds cleared up.
"...I only see water."
Nesa considered jumping in the water and swimming back, he considered throwing Ronove in the water and never looking back, he considered the last one for a long long time, but in the end he merely rubbed his forehead.
"We're on a ocean, that's normal. Now, you said your name was Ronove, do you have a last name?"
"Of course."
"Well, what is it?"
"How would I know? I have amnesia."
Nesa considered it again, this time hours streaked by before he spoke again.
"Well, what do you know?", Nesa said, looking back in the direction of the island. He hoped Fae was safe, he had risked everything for it.
"I.. Uh..", Ronove mumbled as he rubbed his scar.
Nesa immediately thought of the Grey robed men, the violence, and why they would even want this man. Perhaps he would finally get a clue about it all. He was stuck with him for what was probably months, after all. Who was he? What was he?
"...I'm hungry."
Nesa blacked out.
"He's an idiot."
