After going back to Jono, I decided to reacquaint myself with whoever this Luis fellow was. Now I feel like a monster for leaving this kid around for you sickos to kill off!

I'll leave it up to the rest of you whether you want to follow Khalid's suggestion by dropping the heroes off in western Libaterran shoreline (near the mountain range) where they can resupply with the help of the Simoe tribes) or if you want to wait for the Coalition warships.

Someone post it, then. My post is long enough already with the Vanna and Maar Sul stuff. Just make some stuff up. Some boats with the heroes leave the main ship while the main ship draws the Coalition ships after it. Then the heroes meet the Simoe who recognize Khalid and give the group supplies and camels for the journey to Vanna.

I'm eager to get on shore already, so feel free to use the above idea or think of something else. I'll adapt if necessary. ;)

What DOES the Law say about children?

Basically it means that if the person you are challenging has children, you can't attack openly and you must challenge the other person honourably. The Sarquil know the Law well because they always try to find reasons to fight one another.

Khalid was hoping to use Ax as a means of challenging Adela, but things got tricky with the appearance of the boy, which forces Khalid to change his strategy.

You don't have to worry about it, though; right now Adela is interested in who all these foreigners in her court are. ;)

EDIT: And to make this clear, I'm time-warm dancing a bit, so my posts happen three hours before Nesa's release. In case anyone wants to say anything to the Sultana, now is the time. If not, you can always end the meeting. I have on scene in mind, but I'll wait for a few replies before I post anything.

EDIT2: Oh, and Koskenkorva doesn't know about the Law; that's Adela's mistake. Kosky actually reacted to something else when he saw the boy.

Sorry about the fast pace and twists; I realized that I had to get these two scenes done, and now is the best time. In case anyone's wondering, Skye's hypothesis is wrong.

Oh, Nic and DP: you're not necessarily driven into a corner even if the Remon battle looks a bit overwhelming at the moment. I always include ways of dealing with situations even when the situations look desperate. The paradox stuff does give him considerable power, but there are a few ways to turn the tide of the battle. Just use your wits; I can't make it too easy for you, after all. ;)

So how many days has it been since the hereos initially left vanna? They had a week if i remember correctly.

It's been at least four days according to the posts (encountering the sand gnomes, setting up a camp, finding the lair and getting in etc.), but the exact time has been left vague so it could've taken longer than that if it makes things more plausible.

Anyway, it's up to the plot, really: if we need to save Khalid before the time is up, then we'll arrive in time to save him. It's a different story whether we succeed or not, though. ;)

Oh, and in case anyone's confused, Varalia won't be literally waiting for Unithien; she's going to the palace, and her sentence simply means that she'll be expecting Unithien to join her at some point. She knows better than to argue with her daughter who can be quite stubborn at times.

I've been playing with the idea of in the future Jono convincing the Alliance to send a party or army into Yamato, since that's where he roosted for the better part of a decade. Seems a little weird that we have all that stuff going on down there and we don't even have one of these little side things like with the Nightstalker/Mob storyline trying to deal with it in any way. Just a bunch of lazy NPCs.

The sooner you become a big threat, the sooner the Alliance shits itself and goes Operation: Yamato Freedom on your ass.

Not here, since the plot line I'm trying to develop depends on the actions of several things under Kos's control. It'd be like taking something he develops, pushing it in the story, half-baked, because you don't know all the details, and just rushing through.

It'd be like raping a storyline. Plus, I have enough storylines going on as it is, I don't need it.

The gundams won't be coming back. They were way too powerful when they were used and they just didn't really fit into tGA world at all. And there's even an RP post which shows quite clearly that gundams and most hi-tech stuff were destroyed, save for the ruins that Jemuel's posse found later on:

Taliesin changed back into human form as he found the Alentish ruins hidden amongst the forests of Thracia. The elves knew about it, of course, but stayed away. They wanted no part of the human civilization that they blamed for the catastrophe of the Banishment. This wasn't the first ruins he'd visited, of course, nor would they be the last, but Taliesin was starting to get discouraged.

It troubled him when it looked as though his work had already been done for him. He'd come here to destroy any remnants of the things the Alentish had created out of the Crusader Mobile Armor, just to make sure no scrap of Liosliath de Mont Hault's creation had ever survived. Mind you, the Alentish creations were much worse. de Mont Hault's Mobile Armor was just that--Armor. For defense only. It had been sufficient to protect Marya from Taliesin's own attacks. The Alentish devices, however, were built to kill. Taliesin didn't want Kagetsu to get ahold of something like that.

The Eye-Spy winked out of existence before Taliesin could notice it.

Back in Palanthas, Arawn Losstarot laughed. He wondered what Taliesin would think if he knew who'd been there before him. These Andain seemed to underestimate anyone who was not born of the flesh of a god. How pathetic. Arawn would be greater than any god, in time. First, though, he would have airships.

Oh, the mobile armor would have been grand, but it appeared that the Kings of Cardia had done a better job of obliterating the remains of that technology than they had at obliterating Arawn's ancestors.

Arawn frowned for a moment as he recalled the other Andain who thought himself to be better than Arawn Losstarot. That raid that Kagetsu had made was most interesting, and revealed quite a lot. Arawn wondered what this Krystallopyr was, and how difficult it would be to get it. Kagetsu had called the ward around it unbreakable, but that was typical of Andain thinking. They all thought they were the be-all and know-all of everything.

"Every spell can be broken," said Arawn to himself, "You just have to be willing to accept the pain that it takes to break it. And of course, my dear friend, your words are a self-fulfilling prophecy. Convince yourself that you cannot break the ward, and you cannot break it. I, however, can and will do anything I choose. Nothing lies beyond the reach of Arawn Losstarot. Nothing!"

That was some big-time godmoding, and normally I'd consider that sort of thing a no-no. However, you showed that there's a price to pay for all the help the gods give (Nesa's sacrifice), and you balanced it out without making it seem like an effortless victory for the good guys. However, if it had been about Hivena wiping the bad guys out etc., then I definitely would've edited the post.

I trust that you people won't go overboard with gods or anything, but please let a Councillor know in advance if you want to use gods in such a dramatic way so that we won't start crying "god-moding" when we see a post with gods. I remember when in an earlier RP people were using gods without letting Council know, and that was one of the reasons why we originally had strict rules about god-moding (and especially about the use of gods).

I'm fine with the things you posted, though, and I <i>don't</i> want that post to go *poof*. If we need to do something about it, I prefer an edit than actual deletion because deletions are messy. So unless Nic or Bleys veto it, I think that post can stay the way it is. I liked that bit of drama.

Well, Nic did talk about her god stuff with Bleys first before she posted. I think it was Bleys who originally suggested the high cleric stuff to her, actually (Bleys or Nic: correct me if I'm wrong).

I don't think your post needs to be deleted or edited, really. I just wish you would've told me (or Nic or Bleys) about using a god before you posted. Remember that you told me when you were going to use Artemicia in your Harrad post; that post also had a god but you had told a Councillor beforehand about using a god in your post in a direct way.

And yeah, I speak from experience because I've done my share of such posts (even when I wasn't in Council), and it really upset some people.

Anyway, don't delete or edit the post. Like I said, I personally think your post is fine the way it is, and it helps me give Ronove a motivation to go after Iblis. If Nic and Bleys think your post is ok too, then it is ok. :)

Well, the most common demons are the generic human-sized ones with tails, horns, wings and sharp claws. They do have different breeds, though, and the ones we've seen in the story so far are the generic humanoid ones, small imps and large doglike demons.

Also, this attacking army consists of not only demons but also human and elven traitors, chaos clerics and Chaos Dwarves.

Your post is alright, DM. The Grey Cult basically rules over most of Aison but I assume your Aisonian knights are likely independent and not members of the cult. I look forward to hearing more about them once the story progresses.

Labyrinth, eh? I hope the wiki isn't too confusing (although I know many articles still need updating, but we're slowly working on it). And you don't have to worry about knowing every little detail or history about the story. The wiki is simply there if you're curious about something, but it isn't obligatory to read it.

And your Aisonian knights are ok, so don't worry. New ideas are always welcome. You're doing a good job so far. ;)

Lemme help you out. Here's a quick rundown of what your characters are doing (as far as I can remember, anyway):

- Azriel: Currently in Vanna fighting with the heroes against the invading demon army. We could certainly use his help in defeating a demon colossus which is trying to break into the city.
- Fel: Currently in Ravensworth with his lover Gades, trying to figure out where to go next.
- Jono: Escorted Hannibal safely to Trinity Gask. Is now spending quality time with Vaetris (not THAT kind of quality time... I think)
- Matheson Family: At least Galeras is in Jardine, keeping Amarawyn as his unwilling bride. Vesuvius and Etna might be either in Jardine or Matheson.
- The Three: I think Dusty and Ned are lying low somewhere in Alent, but Lucky is currently posing as an Alentian guard and is in the same room with the Alliance's delegates.

Right, all the "heroes" have basically abandoned the whole damn country as soon as the zombies popped up. Fel is there, and the plan was for him to eventually meet up with his vigilante pals in the Wings of Remon (http://www.thegamersalliance.net/w/Wings_of_Remon). So, let's call this a plea for original characters either for this group, or fighting the zombies on their own. If I can keep track of 10 characters, you guys can certainly add one more!

The Wings each have a tattoo of a griffin, and took out former elven military corps turned bandit group among other threats in the lawless parts of Remon. They're mobile, but probably have a hidden base to hole up somewhere... I'm probably going to be creating a leader unless a council member wants to take a shot.

In case anyone's wondering about my recent post, Gerard and Despard don't know yet that the Shadow clone in MSC has already been killed off.

That works. I did the same with Xerathas (who I originally wanted to use as a main character) when I realized he wouldn't be in the spotlight that much compared to Refan and Unithien.

So, you want to get on the same boat as Matt, eh? Since MSC isn't near water and Matt's group will head for Trinity Gask specifically, they'd have to travel south to either Jardine or Matheson and take a ship from there. Matt would be able to do so even in Matheson-controlled areas (which the Alliance can't access) because his characters are working for the crime family.

Perhaps Nym could teleport to either of those cities (because he didn't use up his power as other people teleported him to MSC). Maybe Jardine, as he wouldn't know it's under Matheson rule, and that way he could accidentally catch up with Shyr's group which happens to be in the same city if you want that to happen before you continue the journey to Libaterra.

These are just suggestions, though. I'm sure there are lots of ways to get your characters to wherever you want them to go. Or talk to Matt to find out what his characters are planning. ;)

Also, if anyone wants to kick some demon ass, I suggest you do it now. I think having a brief pause to the battle will be necessary to properly introduce these newly arrived heroes and antiheroes as well as give our heroes a break from all the fighting. Plus, the demons need to regroup anyway after they lost the colossus and saw the awesome power of Dusk in use. ;)

I'm not sure if EE wants Samachi to be with the Akai Tora unit that came to help Vanna, so I'll keep the commander's name vague in my posts in case EE does want to use the opportunity to introduce Samachi at some point. Which I think would be cool since Samachi wouldn't have forgotten that Ax killed his friend Amano in Folsworth Woods in the earlier war.

I'm thinking we should put some plots on hold when the majority of people leave certain areas. I've set up for some sort of resistance being done in Remon, so I guess there will be something to come in on whenever we return. Meanwhile, we can put off most of the Alent stuff until the group finally heads out that way after the Vanna fighting.

Works for me. That's pretty much what I've been doing with Maar Sul and Aison all this time. There are invasions coming but it's not the focus since none of the active player characters are in those places, so it's "on hold" to keep things simple. Ditto for Nic in Remon: Arbriel has had a good time invading Remonton with his undead army but it's also been on the sidelines because active characters aren't around to react.

My main focus will obviously be on Vanna since the majority of my characters are there. There's a scene or two that I have in mind in Alent, but I'll wait for Nic's input before I proceed with that stuff.

I do think the Jardine stuff needs to be dealt with, though, in order to keep the group there moving, but we'll see what happens. ;)
